Turkeyorama
Special thanks to the Martels for hosting another great Thanksgiving dinner.
Awesome food and fun (as always).
On this occasion we had the complete Jamaica circus with us, plus a few of the new ones who have joined us since then.

Keiragami
These might look like crumpled up pieces of paper, but they are actually some very carefully crafted paper sculptures that Keira creates.
She knocks out a bunch of these every week.
Turkey Dinner
The Sunday before Thanksgiving always serves as a fun warm-up for the big feast- as our church hosts a turkey dinner at the South Fork Ranch.
Lots of fun and blurry low-light photos ensue.
Inside, Keira got her butter on.
That girl really likes butter...
and being dragged across the room on her Daddy's leg.
Kassidy played quietly with some cars (of course).
Iria hung out with Dawn, who used to teach at Katharine's dance studio.
They talked through most of the night, comparing dance notes and shoes.
Lukas brought in some Legos, and was quickly joined by his friend Jack.
Katharine sang with her youth choir, who offered up a concert of Disney songs.
And here they are exiting.
Too much turkey for Kassidy?

Two Wheeler
Lukas has mainly been a scooter guy up until now, but it was a great day to break out the bike and give that a go. After a few unsuccessful tries with me gripping onto him, he wanted to go solo. It clicked right away, and he was soon riding up and down the street.
Despite all of the obstacles and distractions...
no worries, the bat was quickly confiscated :) |
Great job. Lukas!

Frisco Community Parade
The Frisco Community Parade has become an annual tradition with us, and is the first event to kick off the holiday season.
Here are some older entries:
Today was as windy as last year, but a lot less cold.
Keira got a bit freaked out by the high school mascots, and spent the first half of the parade behind this tree.
Kassidy sat right up at the curb, and couldn't have been happier when the antique car procession rolled by.
As the parade proceeded Keira began to edge up closer to the curb, desensitized by the abundance of mascots and lured by the constant shower of necklaces and candy.
We were there to see Katharine in the "Sheena's Dance Academy" float, which was promoting their upcoming Nutcracker performance..
Iria performed an impromptu cartwheel to help kick off their procession.
She also crafted a good amount of the flowers used to decorate their floats.
Katharine and Claire.
Keira finally made it curbside.

And 6 weeks to go...
