Halloween 2013

We continued our Halloween tradition of trick or treating with the Milette's and other friends from their neighborhood, though this year for the first time without my sister.
We had the usual fair of mummy dogs, monster claws, punch with worms, etc for dinner before heading out.

I took a rare picture of me and Kassidy before she got changed into her Minnie Mouse costume.

The annual group shot of the trick or treaters

This year was the first time that Kassidy got the "go up to the door say trick or treat and get get candy, then say thank you" thing.

A moment in the Milette's neighbors' house. The girls needed some water and stopped at Sydney's house. Somehow Katharine's shoe got stuck in Trinity's costume. Ashley and Sidney are cracking up, while Trinity is embarrassed.

Traffic Jam

Every night I have been coming home to Kassidy's cars lined up all around the couch.

Boys Interrupting

More shots from yesterday's Frisco Ballet event, with some fun cameos.

Frisco Fire Safety Town Halloween Event

The dancers and moms of the Frisco Ballet volunteer at Frisco Fore Safety Town every year during the Halloween event. Everyone dresses up in more or less Nutcracker themed costumes. Katharine went as a flower and I donned some Russian garb I had in my closet.

The mayor came by to pose with the girls, and then he handed out his pencils to the trick to treaters!

Ellen and I had a lot of fun, too!

Dallas Heritage Village

The kids and I went to visit the Dallas Heritage Village last Friday. It is located I. Downtown Dallas and has a really nice collection of original hoses from the North Dallas area. We had a lot of fun visiting old houses from the 1800s and early 1900s, play dress up, go shopping I the general store and hang out with an other homeschool family we know from dance.

Grinding corn by hand, the way the Mexican railroad workers wives did.

Part of the gaggle: Lukas, Katharine, Keira, Alex, Cassie.

The house below was originally built in Plano and given as a wedding present.

Katharine and Cassie put on hoop skirts.

This is the scariest box of cereal I have ever seen!
