Galas and Goals
The Nutcracker performances started this weekend. The girl's performed two shows on Saturday, and one on Friday and Sunday.
Here is Keira in her "party girl" costume, with her (temporarily) curly hair.
Lennon had a soccer tournament this weekend, scoring two goals and an overtime penalty kick. His old Solar team was playing on the field next to us, so we got a bit of a mini-reunion.
Here is Lennon with Drew, who started playing soccer together when they were around 6.

A Brief Glimpse of Fall
Feeling like Fall again, until it goes back to 70 degrees tomorrow.
One of our trees is getting festive!
Cheetah Show
Keira put on a cheetah show this morning- lots of tricks, fetching, and flips!
The stuff in her hair is for curls for the Nutcracker, which starts on Friday.
Tis' the season!

Home for the Holidays
I'm home this week, so we have a full house leading up to Thanksgiving.
This is the first time that we will be solo'ing it, as the festive frousins have moved up north.
But with our family, all we need is ourselves to create a good sized crowd :)

Party Princess
Katharine has been working at little girl birthday parties through her dance school, getting between $20-40 dollars per appearance. She once made $150.00 at a private party!
Tonight she is spending the money on a slushy and movie ticket for the new Justice League movie :)
Little House on the Big Floor
Keira and I worked on recreating the house from Little House on the Prairie with the wooden planks today. We have been reading through the books at night before bed.
It included a fireplace, table, and ladder up to the attic, but you had to peak inside to see it.
Meanwhile, the boys were laying siege to each other's forts in the background.
Have I mentioned that they love these planks?

Art House
Not always sticking to classic pencil and paper, our kids have been expressing themselves on walls and floors this week.
The boys were particularly proud of this one, titled "WE BRING WAR!" (in all caps, of course).
I suspect that Lukas was the mastermind behind this one, with Lennon adding some additional characters and ideas.
Here is a fort that the boys were building from the gift that keeps on giving- wooden planks (thanks Craig!).
Here is another weido Kassidy sketch, which I always love because it is so weird :)
And Keira drew a wonderful cheetah.
She loves cheetahs, in case you haven't caught that yet..

Napkin, Please
Kassidy always makes a big mess when eating bread and Nutella.
And oh yeah, she doesn't like crusts.
Could you tell?

Morning Showers
Pepper frequently joins me for a shower in the mornings.
He sits by the door, waiting until I scoop up some water from the running shower. Then I drip it down his back. This can go on for 5 minutes.
Afterwards, he usually licks up spots from the floor and the shower stall.
Strange cat!

Multiplication Tables
Been pretty busy this month, but I will start posting some daily snapshots to pick up the pace here again.
Here is Iria working with Kassidy on her multiplication tables.
