That's a Wrap

Dance recital weekend wrapped up tonight. 

Katharine was in 12 dances, Keira in 5, and Kassidy in 2. 

And some of the dances were repeated across the 3 shows..

They were amazing, and I always have a fun time attending (as long as I don't start adding up the cost of the costumes in my head).

And big props to Iria, who probably logged around 20,000 miles this year and just as many hours supporting their efforts.

I might be exaggerating a little bit- but not much :)

Special Delivery

The Grandparents arrived last night, for a whirlwind weekend of dance recitals and frousin festivities.

No soccer though, so it's not as windy as it could have been!

Bravo!

Iria participated in a Sanctuary Choir concert that was held tonight, celebrating the music director's 40th year with the church.

They have been working on this for quite some time, and put on a great show.

The kids all enjoyed it, and found some time to scribble as well.

I was tired out out after only 9 days with the kids, and she does it 365.

Kassidy is often up and walking around her room 2 hours after her bedtime.

That said, Kassidy is NOT a morning person and can be very grouchy after getting up.

Kassidy sleeps with a light on in her bed, and always asks if there will be thunderstorms and tornadoes tonight.

Kassidy wants to have 10 kids when she grows up.

Kassidy wants to go to Germany and Massachusetts for vacation.

Kassidy is a very sloppy eater, and always finishes with food all over her face (especially if she is eating Nutella)

It is not the official "Bring your Daughter to Work" day, but Keira and I took advantage of all my office-mates being out on vacation and the fact that I had to meet up with the family again for an early birthday lunch.

She did a little bit of schoolwork next to me, but she was probably;y most excited that Friday = Doughnut Day at Gearbox.

All of this was gone by Monday evening- 3 pounds of meat, 8 cans of beans and tomatoes, grated cheese, and a bag of fritos :)

Ye Olde Company Picnic

Today I brought everyone who wasn't involved with dance competitions, plus Lennon's friend Maddox, to the company picnic at Scarborough Renaissance Fair.

Not my favorite place, but we stuck around for almost 3 hours and the kids had fun without putting too much of a dent in my wallet.

Kassidy did not like the lunch menu, but the bread and cookies were all good.

The rest feasted on corn, turkey legs, and ribs.

As always, there is much sleeping on the way back home. 

I even took an hour long nap back at the house.

Home Again

Iria arrived back home safely today.

Life will be no less crazy, but at least she will be by my side.
