Lukas's first day of school

Lukas had his first day of school at Daffodils this week- and he really loved it!

Highlights of the week were: art studio, fishing for sharks, and dinosaur games with his new friends. He already knows his teacher's names, and was apparently more interested in looking at them than he was at the camera.

Sweet dreams?

Lukas crawled into Katharine's bed tonight. Katharine is going to be pretty sore in the morning if his time spent in our bed is any indication (the boy likes to sleep horizontal for some reason).

Hair today, gone tomorrow

It is a right of passage for just about every kid- find a pair of scissors and give yourself a nasty haircut. Lukas could care less, but Katharine is none too happy about it. She LOVED her long hair, and was getting really good at tying her own pony tails and brushing it every day.

Lesson learned?

First day of [home] school

Katharine is just finishing up her second week of home schooling, but here is a photo that I took on the first day. The sun was shining, Iria and Katharine were starting up their first lesson, and the boys were setting out to destroy the playroom- a typical morning of learning and leisure in the Doescher household.
