Welcome Home Performance

Iria and Katharine made it home safely from their dance competition trip tonight.

Katharine did great, and had a lot of fun with her roomies.

Anyways, Keira rehearsed her own set of dances this afternoon, which she performed for them before bedtime.

You can't escape the dance show at the Doescher house!

The Kassidy Squat

Kassidy still sits like this all of the time.

I was marveling at her flexibility, but Iria showed me that she can do it to.

Oh well, now I marvel at both their flexibility!

Ole Ola!

The boys have been loving the World Cup, and we have been watching (and stressing through) most of the matches.

All of our favorites are still in- USA, Brazil, Argentina, and Germany. Some are considerably less stressful than others to root for..

Anyways, here is a pic of the boys sorting their World Cup trading cards. You can get the complete set for 40 bucks, and it is a nice way to familiarize yourself with the players that you will see in Brazil and the various leagues next year.

Pajamas and Pizza

Last night with Daddy, before reality kicks in again tomorrow.

At the vet

I took the cats in for their simple annual shots, and walked out paying 600 bucks for a bunch of other stuff. I could have sunk another grand into them as well, but we are going to hold off for a bit.

The kids were cute sitting with them before they went in.

But once the waiting began, the girls quickly blockaded themselves from any of the dogs that were entering.

I guess that we are an (old and expensive) cat family for now.

Soccer Girls

Keira has been really into the idea of playing soccer as of late. We will probably sign her up for a rec league this Fall.

And I think that Kassidy (Ms. "I do it myself!!!") just likes putting on the shin guards...

Wet and Wetter

It has been raining every day this week, but the kids have still been hitting the pool and sprinkler. Apparently they cannot get wet enough!

Birthday Art

The kids broke out the canvas and paint brushes to create some birthday art for me.

Very special!

Tuesday Pictures

Katharine didn'tave to dance on Tuesday, so she went and supported her friends Katie and Claire who competed in their solo routines. Both did very well! In the evening we had fun at the rental house where we enjoyed pasta and popsicles. The high light of the evening was us moms trying to do some of the tricks the girls can do in their sleep. We all laughed a lot!

Here the girls are with Kari Schackmann. This is the last week they get to dance with her, as Kari will be heading to college this Fall. The girls gave her a beautiful James Avery bracelet  to remember them by. Below is a picture of Megan Muskara photo bombing the group picture.

Swimmin' At Sammy's

We went over Lennon's friend Sammy's house yesterday, to play in the pool and spread the lambsickle recipe southward (by about 5 miles).

They both play on the Amdromeda 07 soccer team, and managed to get some indoor soccer in despite their practice getting rained out. Sammy is right between Lukas and Lennon's age, and his sister Emily is right between the two girls.

A prefect fit, and a very fun afternoon!

Finally!

Lennon has been wiggling that other top tooth for ages, and it finally came out today after biting down on a breakfast sausage!

Be Our Guest

I noticed that our local gym was offering some "try it for free" day passes if I sat through a 15 minute sales pitch.

Nope, I don't want to pay 255 a month for my huge family on your pricing plan, but yep, I'll swing by and swim for a few days this week.

Thanks!

First a Day of Starquest a Nationals, Galveston TX

Katharine and Emma performed her solos today. They were each awarded
Platinum in the hardest category of this competition. So proud of them! Here they are with their plaques!
Before their dances, we got a little picture of the girls doing the step and repeat, just like the stars do at awards ceremonies. It's always fun to do.

Me with my roomie mommies Ellen, Jennifer and Danielle! These moms are some of my best friends, and we have a lot of fun together, like taking a selfie to get free make up!
At the awards ceremony: Lily, Katharine, Emma and Vivi

Katharine with her platinum plaque. I am so proud of this little girl, well, she is almost as tall as me now. She lights up the stage, and dances from her heart, pours it out for everyone to see, and to share her love of dance with the world around her! Yes, she makes me cry every time I see her dance her solo, and my heart leap in all her other dances!

Vivi, Emma and Katharine taking a selfie so they can get free make up, too.
After today's performances, we went back to our swanky house to to play, dance some more, and cook dinner together! So much better than eating out!
The girls always give each other a present at Nationals, here is a picture of Katharine and Emma admiring the sneakers Katie decorated for them. We weren't even out of town yet yesterday morning, but the presents were priority, well, and tea and coffee for the moms.

Off to Nationals

Katharine and her roomies headed off to the Nationals dance competition this week, for seven days and eight nights in a swank Galvenston beach house.

I'm at home with the four kids, so if you have a pool then hit me up. I need some water too!
