Kassidy's blankie

This thing is constantly transforming into new shapes and sizes.

Hopefully there is enough left of it store away once she is done with it.

Lavender

The boys, Kassidy, Keora and I went lavender picking yesterday. About an hour north from Little Elm is a small but quaint lavender farm. We had so much fun, bought a few lavender goodies ( all made from local ingredients right there), but did not have time to have lunch at their small cafe. Well, there were not enough chairs left for us. Haha!

They all learned the right way to cut and which stems to cut.

We cut four bundles of lavender!

Lukas was all about catching little grasshoppers. We also found a velvet ant, which is really a wasp. The female's sting is quite brutal.

The little black and red creature is the velvet ant. It moved incredibly fast and was hard to get a picture of.

There were also geese, miniature donkeys and goats. Lots of fun.

Blueberry Picking

As Katharine is half way through her first week of her five week dance intensive with TBT, I have to make sure everybody else has some fun, too! So today we went blueberry picking. We picked almost 10 pints of fresh, organic berries and they are delicious! Lukas, Lennon, Keira and Kassidy dos an awesome job picking all those berries with me in about 30 minutes!

Sunscreen and bug repellent on, and off we go!

They made sure to look for the bluest berries!

Getting there.

Mission accomplished!

Shopping

This is a collage of some of the pictures Erik sent me from the German food store. Yes, I picked out a few things to bring back.

In the evening he got to go see the US- Ecuador game life. We again watched from the comfort of our couch. It sure was an exciting soccer match!

Katharine took lots of pictures at Pike's Market

Meanwhile at home, Keira and Kaili celebrated surviving 5 days ( or 25 hours) of dance at the TBT junior summer intensive. It was the first time for both of them.

Katharine and the rest of the family went to Bainbridge Island where she found another lavender store.

View from the ferry.

She j he's I like hydrangeas.

Lunch.

Meanwhile at home I scheduled a second doctors visit for Lennon as he developed a rash on his face. Possibly from the medicine he's been taking for his infected ant bites. Life is exciting! Poor little guy.

Seattle and Hair Gel

While Katharine and Erik enjoyed high tea at the Fairmont Hotel, Lennon got bit by ants which caused an infection and kept him in bed for a day. We decided to put some colored hair gel in the boys hair.

They look great!
