Lavender

The boys, Kassidy, Keora and I went lavender picking yesterday. About an hour north from Little Elm is a small but quaint lavender farm. We had so much fun, bought a few lavender goodies ( all made from local ingredients right there), but did not have time to have lunch at their small cafe. Well, there were not enough chairs left for us. Haha!

They all learned the right way to cut and which stems to cut.

We cut four bundles of lavender!

Lukas was all about catching little grasshoppers. We also found a velvet ant, which is really a wasp. The female's sting is quite brutal.

The little black and red creature is the velvet ant. It moved incredibly fast and was hard to get a picture of.

There were also geese, miniature donkeys and goats. Lots of fun.
