Yawn... more snow

It has already snowed three times this winter, which is more than I can remember over the past few years. The last snow day was on Tuesday, and I should post this before I forget what the stuff looks like.

And yeah, no mittens on Keira was one of those bright Daddy decisions- as Iria was at the spa (my Christmas present to her). She refused to slide into her mittens, and I just couldn't get them on without her cooperation. The poor thing's hands were almost purple when we finally got inside... but at least she got to suck on snow :)

And if you look carefully, Lennon has socks on his hands.

And if you look real carefully, you will notice that Katharine has lost another tooth.

Ceiling'scraper

We got some more duplos over Christmas, and our tower can now almost reach the ceiling. I guess it will be back to building robots and dinosaurs until we get some more blocks.

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas Day, where everything went as planned.

Snow? .... check!

Gift giving and receiving? ... check!

Overly complicated toys that need to be assembled? ... check!

Gingerbread nativity and Jesus birthday cake? ... check!

Rankin/Bass movie to close it all out? ... check!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Twas the night before Christmas...

The kids are long off to bed, and the last of the presents have been wrapped.

Santa has received his re-gifted tree ornaments,

and pigged out on cookies and hot chocolate.

Now it is time to call it a night, and rest up for the 6 Am wakeup call (which will probably involve multiple children jumping on top of me until I relent and roll out of bed).

Twas the day before Christmas...

Everybody was in the Christmas spirit today as we made our annual gingerbread house and then went off to church for the family service.

And oh yeah, it's snowing!

Lastly, if you ever wonder what Keira's hair looks like after we take her "whale spout" out, then here you go! I'll bet you'll stop wondering about that kind of stuff from now on...

Twas the weekend before Christmas...

My mom and dad visited for a few days, and everyone had a blast.

We will remember the:

... cuddling

... eating

... indoor playing

... outdoor playing

.... reading

... and even more reading

... dancing and singing

... tea partying

... navigating through the streets of downtown McKinney

... and, of course, the gift giving!

Grandma and Grandpa gave Katharine her first sewing machine.

Lukas got his first bike.

And Lennon got his umpteenth playmobile set.

Thanks for coming, Mom and Dad!

And Merry Christmas!
