Flashback: October 25, 2004

Keira's painting pictures from today reminded Iria of some pictures that we took of Katharine when she was just a few months older.

Saturday Studio

Katharine had to make up an art lesson this morning, so all of the kids learned about Vincent Van Gogh and then did a little bit of painting.

Katharine added some swirly sky elements to her landscape.

Keira grew successively more and more paint splattered as the session proceeded...

Much to the amusement (and disgust) of the other kids.

Valentine Cards

We opened up the Valentine cards from Grandma and Grandpa after church.

Ate some candy.

And then worked on some more cards and sticker art.

The best Valentine came from Katharine: who gave me a hug and said that it would "never tear".

Pea Soup

More crazy weather today as a thick fog rolled in this morning. Charlotte and Katharine never say no to a picture, so we took advantage of the atmosphere and snapped a buddy shot.

Duplosaurs

The boys and I played a lot with the Duplo blocks today; the favorite subject always being "dinosaurs".

Lukas had an army of three t-rex's, one triceratops and a flying pterodactyl.

Lennon had one dinosaur, who despite being outnumbered was rather mobile and came with a cat on his head.

The dinosaurs were soon eager for battle... and the fight commenced!

Afterwards, we rebuild our armies and start everything up again. Fun times!

Especially when there is no more snow to play in... (sigh).

Night and Day

We had one more night of snow, and it quickly went from looking "postcard"...

to "playground".

Oh, well... goodbye "9-12 inches of record breaking snow in Dallas".
Seeya in another 100 years!

Obligatory "kids in snow" pictures

And as promised: "kids in snow"

Courtesy of Iria (for the photography), Nikon (for the camera), and Photoshop (for the booger removal) :)

A Texas Snowstorm

The East Coast has been battered as of late, but we are looking at having about a day's worth of snowfall that could accumulate into 3-6 inches! Thats the equivalent of about 18 inches back in Boston...

This is what it looked like when I left this morning, and I can see huge fluffy flakes still falling outside my office window. We'll probably have some more of the obligatory "kids in snow" pictures shortly.
