Palm Sunday is always a fun day for the kids- it must have something to do with those palms...

Lukas and Katharine also sang in their choirs during the service, so it was enjoyable for the parents as well.

Snow today, gone tomorrow

I took the first two shots this morning before we went to church. As I type up this post, just about all of the snow is gone. Tomorrow the temperature will climb back into the upper 60's, as Texas resumes its regularly scheduled weather pattern.

After church we headed over to the Martels for a few hours. We got to play in (and in some cases, eat) a little bit of snow as the last of it was melting away.

I don't know how that girl walks around holding snow and ice cubes. She was definitely born in the wrong hemisphere.

Lukas and Aiden deflected snowballs with their light sabers.

And inside we went through a pound of ham for lunch.

Flashback: St. Patty Days Past

I didn't take any pictures today (outside of that huge glass of beer), so I looked backed into the photo archives for pictures taken on previous St. Patrick Days.

Here is Katharine, back when we still had lots of grass in the backyard. I planted a bunch of new seed recently, and whatever the birds didn't swallow up is set to germinate next week. We shall see...

Fröhlicher St Patrick's Tag!

Gearbox treated our team to gigantic Bavarian beers and sausage for St. Patty's Day. It worked out well for me, as I have a little bit of both nations in my blood (along with a temporarily high alcohol level).

Iria and Katharine went off to see 'Phantom of the Opera' tonight, and I stayed home with the three little ones. Lukas's laser kid vision spotted these party cowboy hats that had been stashed in the back of my car, so we took them out and had some fun (Lennon was already dressed for the occasion).

Marchfest

Oma and Tante Erica just flew over from Germany, and are staying with us for a few weeks.

Here they are embarking off on a two hour stroll with Keira and Lennon.

Later on the festivities kicked in.

As with any good festival, it eventually got rowdy. I didn't even have to break out the beer steins- apple juice and girl scout cookies did the trick.
