Stair Sleeping

This is where I found Lennon when coming upstairs for the night. Good thing he didn't roll over!

Knee-socks and outdoor gear

Here are a few random pictures from the last few days.

Katharine has started wearing knee-socks with tennis shoes, which looks pretty cool in my book.

And Keira will strap anything on her back with hopes of being led outside or into the car. The backpack always looks really cute on her.

L u k a s

Lukas has been marking his name on his drawings for quite some time, so we decided to start teaching him how to properly spell it. After a few lessons, he is getting closer!

Sundaes

The kids got to make sundaes for dessert tonight. Some decided to make soup out of theirs.

More Legos

I guess I can add Lego Builder to my skills now, too. After Keira went down for a nap, the boys and I (mostly me, while nursing Kassidy, yet another skill, the multitasking never ends) built RC. The car really works when you pull it back, but I see superglue in the near future because I'll get tired of putting it together real soon.

Beauty and the Beast

Julie and I took Gwen, Trinity, Lukas and Katharine to see Beauty and the Beast this afternoon. We had orchestra seats for $30, score!!!!
Everybody loved it.

VBS

Bible storytime for Lukas and Katharine. I tried to get a picture in the space tunnel with my phone camera, it's really blurry, or shall I say spacey? The tunnel is part of the daily kid pick up round before we head to Julie's office for my purse and the childcare wing for Keira and Kassidy.

Who's got the coolest VBS shirts?

We do! The kids asked me to draw astronauts on their shirts in addition to what is already on there. The boys ended up with Buzz Lightyear and Katharine a girl astronaut.

Vacation Bible School

VBS kicked off this morning, and Iria and the kids headed out early in their colorful t-shirts (and hair, in some cases). I think there is some kind of rocket theme this year, because all of the kids were running around screaming "Asteroids!!!" this morning.

Crab Legs

The boys had been bugging me to cook crab legs for them since they saw them on display, so we biked over to Market Street on Monday morning and picked some up for lunch.

They ended being a lot more interested in the claws than anything else. Each of the three kids (Lukas, Lennon and Keira) only nibbled on one piece of meat, but at least that left more for me :)

And poor Katharine- is it any wonder that she is writing American Girl Doll for advice?

Dear American Girl Doll,

I'm not sure where Katharine got the idea of writing American Girl, but it looks like Abby is off the hook for this one:

Super Cinnamon Snickerdoodles

Katharine, Lukas and Lennon had fun rolling the dough balls in LOTS of cinnamon.

Monday Gallery

It has been a while since I posted some art, despite the fact that the kids continue to crank out new pictures every day or so.

Here are two recent pieces by Lukas that I have liked:

"Star Wars studies"

"Batman and Robin in the Jungle"

And from Katharine:

"Giraffe"
(sketched during her Sunday school class)

"Dancing Fairy"
