Rainy Day Adventure
Today we went to the DMA for a rainy day adventure. The original plan, going to the zoo, was not possible, which in the beginning caused some long faces.
We invited Keira's friend Kaili and Katharine's friend Kaylee along. At the museum we finished three out of five scavenger hunts, had a small lunch-snack and visited a special exhibit: Irving Penn: Beyond Beauty
Little did they know that they would get some dance, literary, design and history education when looking at the photographs by Irving Penn. What a great opportunity to see such iconic work up close!
Last but not least, they got to make their own little piece of art with supplies provided by the museum.
Seriously, how likely is it that you find a bowl at the museum that is as awesome as this?

Junior Recital 2016
This past Sunday was Texas Ballet Theater School Dallas' Junior Spring recital. All three girls participated. Kassidy was in a ballet dance, Keira in one ballet, musical theater and jazz dance, and Katharine was the leader of two little ballet classes. It was a long day, but everyone did great!
Katharine and her baby bear group.
Kassidy's ballet: Colors
Keira's ballet dance: Beach Vacation. She stayed in character the whole time!
Kassidy was having fun in the dressing room.
These are two of Katharine's babies, Sutton and Caleigh.
Between performances we had time to play and eat at the theater. With Keira's friend Kaili and her friend Lauren who fit right in!

Happy Birthday, Kassidy!
Kassidy completed another trip around the sun today, turning six years old.
We love our baby girl, who still moves between toy cars and dolls with ease (guess what she got for her birthday).
Kassidy Facts
Kassidy still walks around with her bumblebee baby blanket, which is slowly shredding into pieces (she uses the holes in it as a necklace and handle).
Kassidy is still very much a Mommy's girl.
Kassidy is a night owl, and typically plays and reads in her bed long after the lights have gone out.
Kassidy's favorite color is pink.
Kassidy loves to eat mac and cheese, "Daddy cereal" (Whole Foods Multi-grain Morning O's), pistachios, and anything chocolate'
Kassidy loves to play legos at school.
Kassidy's friends: Jackson, Kate, Tamia, Carly
When Kassidy grows up she wants to be a ballet dancer
Kassidy quote: "I don't know what to do" (when she knows full well that she wants to play on the iPad)
Favorite iPad activity: watching preschool songs on YouTube
She doesn't always like to share her toys.
Favorite season: winter
Kassidy likes to play dolls with Keira and Katharine.
Kassidy likes to play cars with Lukas.
Kassidy likes to play the "alien game" with Lennon.
Kassidy likes to draw and play frisbee with her Daddy.
Kassidy likes to drive around and help cook and bake and do laundry with her Mommy.
Kassidy does not like nut butters and brussel sprouts.
Kassidy quotes: "I love you" and "I'm hungry" (she says those a lot)
Kassidy loves to color, especially with markers.
Kassidy is constantly singing.
Kassidy takes forever in the bathroom (sits and sings)
Kassidy is the honorary PACE "Pinkie" at dance
Saying no gets her really mad.
Kassidy likes to line up her cars in a very specific order.
Kassidy is the most popular sibling to bunk with, but she is also the sibling that causes the most grief to the others.
Nickname: "Sweet Kassidy" (sometimes ironically)
