Light board fun

Katharine got interested in my lightboard over the weekend, so now she is pulling all of these coloring book pages out and tracing them.

Wonder Woman

Katharine saw me drawing Wonder Woman over the weekend. She has always liked the character, but this sparked renewed interest.

First we had to go on YouTube and hunt down some Wonder Woman "movies". A couple of Linda Carter clips were found. Then she wanted to see Superman and Wonder Woman together, so I pulled out a Justice League comic. All the while, Lukas was tagging along and jumping in with a "SoopaMa!" whenever he saw Superman. After she drew the picture she grabbed my Wonder Woman toy/figurine and we sat down and played some rescues for a while.

Texas Snow

We were awakened on Saturday morning to what sounded like our roof being smashed in from a hail storm. The roof survived, but my car that I park in the driveway was certainly pelted :(

The kids got to hold an iceball inside until it melted in their hands. With no snow this year, they will take anything that they can get.

The American Doll gets a riding outfit

Katharine cashed in her remaining birthday checks and emptied her piggy bank to deck out her doll in the latest riding fashions. Katharine has taken really good care of her and does a good job at keeping Lukas out of striking distance.

Katharine is a good hitter.



She can also be pretty intimidating when she stares down a pitch.



Lukas loves to cruise the streets on his bike. By the look of him, you wouldn't want to be in his path either.

A wrap-around story

Katharine wrote this while Dad was visiting. The story wraps around the corner of the wall, so I had to paste the two photos together.

Oh yeah, Dad was here last week,,

I didn't get many photos of him and the kids, but he probably prefered it that way.

All in all, it was a busy week. Lots of day trips, lots of fun,,, and he installed a doorknob in the new room!

Thanks, Dad. Hopefully we will see you again real soon - the door trim needs to go up :)

Katharine Birthday Theatre

We had Katharine's birthday party at the Plano Children's Theatre today. The staff was awesome, and all of the kids (plus a few dancing adults) had a great time performing.


I'll post some pictures soon, but here is the video.


I guess this was Katharine's first "official" dramatic theatre performance. She already wants to audition for more. We will keep you posted,,,,

Katharine turned 5 today.

Synchronized sleeping

Returning from the Martels last night. Too bad we didn't have the video camera; it almost becomes a dance as you take those left and right turns.

Saucer sighting

Lennon is growing up, and has just hit the saucer stage.

He still spits up all of the time, gets up during the night, and cries when he is hungry; so we haven't totally lost out little baby.

A few random pics

Sorry for delay in new pics- it has been a busy week and I was sick to boot.

Enough with the excuses, on to a few random pictures.

The top picture is of Katharine's couple of the moment with their growing family of foster children. Paul is in the dungeon, having been up to his usual mischief.

The bottom picture was taken about a half hour after Katharine found one of Iria's old makeup kits and innocently asked to just put "a little" on her face.
