Blue Bonnets

The family traveled to Ennis, Texas today; where the blue bonnets are in bloom and the kids ran barefoot through the wild flowers.

They also met some horses and a friendly white dog- how Texas postcard can you get???

Lots of Legos

Katharine pooled together her remaining birthday and Easter money and bought the 2025 piece Harry Potter "Diagon Alley" set, finishing it in one day.

She wanted to be sure that I included a picture of Poison Ivy sneaking onto the set.

Legos are so awesome...

April Martel Day at the Arboretum

On Friday Iria, Linda, Erika, and the kids joined up with the Martels for a day of picnics, portraits, and pollen at the Dallas Arboretum.

Erika and Linda are only here for one more week- time sure goes by fast!

Typical Weekend Grilling

Lukas would eat five of the drum sticks.

Keira and Lennon would both eat a sausage on a stick and most of the asparagus.

If Katharine has been home, I would have also been trying to squeeze in a few hot dogs.

I need a bigger grill!

Sunset Haze

A tornado touched down in Dallas today, but all we got were thunderstorms in McKinney.

We also got some amazing light once the skies cleared and the sun started going down.
