Hound at the Hagerman

We all took a trip to the Hagerman Nature Preserve this morning with the dog.

Sherman is used to walking around the block (and not for a few miles) so you can see him starting to sit more and trail behind as the pictures progress, finally being held for part of the last stretch.

Spiritual Pursuit

I think that the kids like playing the Bible Trivia game more than going to church, but this Sunday they got both :)

Lap Dog

Have I mentioned that Sherman is a lap dog?

Probably have..

In other news, we found out that he is actually blind in his one cloudy eye (contrary to what the previous vet had told us). Poor boy, but he still has his other eye and is not shy about sniffing around everywhere..

Puppets

Earlier this week the kids put on a puppet show when I came home from work.

It was a very "Von Tropp" moment for me!

Apologies

I just noticed this on Katharine's door.

Around two weeks ago, Katharine, myself and the boys were playing a board-game called 'Descent', and Katharine and Lukas flipped out on Lennon when he got greedy and tried to get some extra treasure.

It's just a game, so after a quick reality check we paused and sent the kids to their rooms to cool off.

Katharine is such a sweet kid, and must have written the note at that time.

I'm such a clueless Dad, it ended up taking me around two weeks to even notice it :P

New to Knitting

Keira started up knitting on Saturday and already finished a scarf.

She has always been great with arts and crafts projects, so we weren't too surprised (but we were still impressed) :)

Iria and Katharine went out on Sunday and took some dance costume photos in a local office park.

First Concert

Lukas's guitar camp wrapped up on Friday and they put on a show for the parents.

Lukas really loved the experience, so we signed him up for weekly group lessons with the same teacher (Alex).

Erik Doescher and the Gifted Child

Here is Katharine and myself starting up the new Harry Potter book/play on Sunday morning.

Katharine finished it by lunchtime (she has read the full series 10 times already).

I'm halfway through one day later. Woohoo!
