Sunday at the Zoo

The stars and planets aligned today, allowing us a rare time out as a whole family together (actually, it was a Lennon injury and the choir wrapping up last week).

The neighborhood pools opened up last week.

The water is still a little cold, but at least that makes for big empty pools.

Lil' Recital

They both did great, and had lots of fun.

Next up, the big girl recital in two weeks :)

We stopped for German food after, and Kassidy had passed out before the food came. We were able to keep Keira awake and in a good mood :)

Kassidy turned 7 today. 

She has been counting down the months/weeks/days, and it did not disappoint- on what other day can you have cake and ice cream for breakfast :)

Kassidy still gets afraid during heavy rain and thunderstorms. Cricket noises also scare her at night.

"Bob" the fish died today. 

We had a small ceremony in the backyard. He was a special fish, and deserved better than the toilet bowl :)

Classic Lennon

Lennon attended his first classical music concert tonight. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra played The Four Seasons and Beethoven's 6th.

Iria and Lennon rarely get out just by themselves, so it was a great experience for both of them.

Lukas's team lost the championship game 1-0, but had a great time together afterwards celebrating their successful season (they came in 1st place in their division).
