Pumpkin Patch

Finally! Yesterday was the day the kids got to pick their pumpkins.

They each got to pick either two pumpkins at 50 cents each or one pumpkin for $1. Katharine found the cutest.

Lukas found the largest $1 pumpkin, and Lennon went for different shape, size and color.

Kassidy was just happy to have "puhins."

Meet Pepper, the cat who doesn't poop and pee all over our floors.

Romeo and Juliet

The Texas Ballet Theater performed "Romeo and Juliet" last weekend. Katharine and I, along with some of her SDA friends went to see it. Choreography by Kenneth MacMillan, former director and choreographer of the Royal Ballet of London.

Here are what the kids are reading this week after a trip to the library.

Lukas loves books about snow and animals.

Lennon loves books about weird and strange animals.

Kassidy is really into Caillou at the moment.

Keira is looking forward to Halloween.

And Katharine always loves historical fiction about girls.

Zoo Trip

Here are the kids at the Fort Worth Zoo last week.

Oops, I forgot that they were birds that day and not monkeys.

Except for Lennon. 

I'm not sure what he was trying to be.

But whatever they were, they were all there to see the new baby elephants.
