Texas history, past and present

We visited the Texas State History Museum and Statehouse on our last day in Austin.

There were no pictures allowed inside the museum exhibits, but the lobby had this awesome floor art that illustrated the state's history. The kids played there for quite some time, re-enacting many of the scenes that were at their feet.

Good thing we arrived right when the museum opened, as the floors were still quite clean :)
