The cold weather from last month destroyed our privet bushes, but then the privet bush roots still messed up our septic pipes a few weeks ago, so I am not sad to see them go.
Normally we would have paid a few hundred bucks for someone to come out and remove them, but we are now training for New Hampshire rural life and tackled the work ourselves. The Texas clay soil put up a valiant fight, but we succeeded in the end.
Now on to the next one.
And if any future builders are reading, please don't plant privets next to buried pipes, boxes and cables :)
