Even More Munich

...and we still haven't had any beer, well, at least not at the Hofbraeu Haus...The weather being fabulous, we decided to climb the narrow staircase of Old Peter, or St. Peter's Church, the oldest parish church in Munich, and its origins probably predating the foundation of the city itself. The view from the very top is fabulous. You can see as far as the alps on a clear day.

Above the famous cathedral with its two towers, in German known as Frauenkirche.
The tents down below are the stalls of the Christmas Market at the Viktualien Markt, a daily market year round selling all kinds of goods, going back to the turn of the 19th century.
A well deserved rest for the brave climbers. The staircase was at times very old and narrow. Erik pretty much carried Keira up, and I had Kassidy attached to my hips all the way up and down. But so worth it. Lukas forgot all about his fear of heights!

Dinner, finally! We found an Italien restaurant with gluten free options! Whoop whoop!
Viktualien Markt Pole, all lit up for Christmas above, the interior of St. Peter's Church below.
